House Plan Description
Hipped rooflines and a triplet of dormers provide contrast for the sculpted aspects of the Bartlett plan, a European French elevation. Gables, turrets and an entry arcade along with the paneled front door offers a thoroughfare for fresh breezes, and perhaps the scent of dune grass and ocean. Interior vistas that extend beyond the walls of glass to the rear of the plan dominate the foyer and central living room. Along the gallery of the Bartlett plan a series of tapered columns and soffits maximize the effects of an open-room scale, drawing light even into the forward rooms. A slow-down, shoes-off atmosphere prevails in the casual living zone, with a bay of French doors that allow nature to intrude on a vibrant arrangement of rooms. Well positioned to access the leisure room, morning nook, formal dining room and outdoor eating area, the kitchen of the Bartlett plan serves many occasions with ease. The center island offers additional counter space for food prep. The curved bar allows for extra seating with bar stools. A large walk in pantry allows for extra space for small appliances and canned goods.
The entire right wing of the Bartlett plan is the master retreat. The master bedroom has a stunning stepped ceiling. A set of French doors leads to the rear Veranda.
