Varied rooflines hint at the uniquely shaped rooms inside this elegant home, named La Paloma. Like a quartet of arrows, glowing gold and pointing upward into the night sky, the facade of La Paloma makes a bold statement. Materials taken from nature stacked stone of terracotta and slate, plus various hardwoods are elemental throughout. This creates a look that is reminiscent of the great lodges of America's Pacific Northwest. A harmony of wood and stone come together in a rough-hewn yet elegant testament to American craftsmanship and artistry.
The living room of La Paloma celebrates the grandeur of nature. Capturing the beauty and majesty of the great outdoors are the stacked-stone columns and hardwood ceiling. A trio of windows stands like the silhouette of angular purple mountains in the background. The octagonal formal dining room appears to float on water. Stacked-stone columns, barely in view, stand on the perimeter framing the serene rear views.
Triangular shapes make their way from the facade to the interior living space. This turns ordinary entryways between rooms into grand passageways. The central great room boasts a cathedral ceiling, retreating walls of glass and an open arrangement with the nook and gourmet kitchen. A cleverly designed study packs functional built-ins and is accessed through the master retreat.
The master bathroom contains a Whirlpool soaking tub and separate walk in shower. There are two vanities with sinks on opposite sides of the room. The master walk in closet is separated by center islands with built in storage. The celebration of nature continues. Multiple outdoor sitting areas create ample opportunity for conversation and star-gazing.
