House Plan Description
The Windsor Court home plan is a classical modern masterpiece. It's towering entry with standing seam metal roof leads into a surprising courtyard that feels more like a tropical resort.
On either side of the entry of the Windsor Court plan, overlooking the courtyard are two detached casita-style guest suites. Each suite is completely self contained with morning kitchen and dining alcove. The baths are like master baths with his/hers vanities and whirlpool tub with separate shower.
Upon entering the Windsor Court plan one is greeted by a Koi pond that is separated by a bridge leading to a free formed pool. Interspersed with pools and ponds, the airy, open interior extends across the property, intimately linked with comfortable outdoor environments and spectacular views. The covered veranda embraces the courtyard and incorporates an outdoor kitchen.
Through the veranda is the entrance to the main house. Overlooking the veranda and courtyard are the dining room and study. There is floor to ceiling mitered glass, and a gathering room with its corner-less pocketing sliding glass doors. At the end of the courtyard are two cabanas and a rock waterfall cascading into a semi-circular spa.
The main house of the Windsor Court home plan is divided into three distinct zones. Upon entering the foyer, one is ushered into the family living zone with open leisure room, kitchen and nook. The formal dining room is adjacent, accessed via a broad gallery that leads to the utility room and garage. The central gathering room is the entertainment zone. This large diamond shaped room contains a sunken wet bar. It is center stage to views of rear as well as enjoying the pool and courtyard.
The third and best zone is the master retreat. This private realm is intent on pampering its owners. The master retreat gives glimpses of three into the courtyard, the rear and to a private world seen only by its owner. The master courtyard contains a Koi pond with bridge and sun deck. This is enjoyed from the master retreat sitting room and the master bath's tub, which is made a part of the courtyard via pocketing corner-less sliding glass doors.
Upstairs is a bonus room that can be used in numerous ways such as a game room, theater room or even an additional guest suite. It features a large viewing deck. It is easy to see why the Windsor Court home plan exemplifies contemporary luxury living, with its clean lines and simple detailing. This palatial, dramatically contemporary courtyard home plan has 6457 sq. ft. of living area, and has three bedrooms with three and 1/2 bathrooms.

What Plan Format Should I Order?
At Sater Design, we’re all about creating your dream home and making the process as easy as possible for you. Therefore, the plan format you select will depend on your situation. For your convenience, we sell our plans in 3 basic plan formats: printed on Vellum paper, in electronic PDF file format, and electronic AutoCAD files. AutoCAD is the name of the program that is used to create the plans. There is no “correct” or “better” plan format, it all depends on your individual needs. Each plan format has its benefits and some are more versatile than others.
Print Vellum: The most popular plan format our customers order is the Print-Vellum format. This plan format gives you a set of plans printed on Vellum paper that you can show your builder. Copies can be made as needed– see the Plan Licensing Information page for more details. The Vellum paper is erasable (using a special architect’s eraser) so added notes or minor changes can be made to the plans if needed. The Vellum plan format is the most expensive to ship.
PDF Electronic: The second most popular plan format is PDF, which is an electronic file format. We email you the plan as a set of electronic PDF files. This plan format provides the most expedient way to receive the plans. Your local blue print shop can make prints as needed. Again, see the Plan Licensing Information page for more details on making copies. The PDF plan format is an electronic file, but it is not editable so changes can be more difficult to make.
CAD Electronic: If you need to make changes or alterations to the plan, you will need to order the plan in electronic AutoCAD plan format. Anyone with the AutoCAD program and knowledge of how to use it — which most builders do –will be able to open the files and make changes to them. Your builder or local blue print shop can make prints from the AutoCAD files (see the Plan Licensing Information page for more details). There AutoCAD files come on a USB flash drive and is shipped with your plan licensing information packet.
