House Plan Description
If you are looking for a modern, country farmhouse, then the Maple Grove house plan is for you. The attention to detail and beauty of a simple design is evident at first glance.
The key to a great floor plan is how it flows effortlessly from open, common spaces to the most private corners of the home.
By connecting the great room, kitchen, and breakfast nook, everyone will be part of the conversation. The dining area is fully carved out of the common area by the use of a column to define the space.
Luxury does not mean a home has to be big. It is how well a space is used and the features it can contain that make it luxurious.
A home of just 66 feet wide and 2900 square feet of living area packs in a lot of features. It is the little touches that you will appreciate, things like a walk-in pantry, powder bath, large utility room, and a wide welcoming front porch.
With the large rear porch and outdoor kitchen you will spend many nights relaxing with family and friends enjoying the great outdoors. The breakfast nook will give you beautiful views when it is too chilly to use the porch.
This house plan has a lot of flexibility designed into it. Guest suite 2 has a bathroom that can double as a pool bath. The study can be easily converted into a third bedroom.
The Maple Grove is ideal for a young family while still being a great choice for a home to retire in. Sometimes a home plan can come painfully close to meeting all your needs. If you need to make a few changes to have the Maple Grove your dream home, we can help with that.
Our modification service can make changes that will make this home plan perfect for you and your family.
We also have a custom home design business. For over 35 years The Sater Group has been designing homes for clients all over the world. If you think you’d like a home designed especially just for you please contact us.

What Plan Format Should I Order?
At Sater Design, we’re all about creating your dream home and making the process as easy as possible for you. Therefore, the plan format you select will depend on your situation. For your convenience, we sell our plans in 3 basic plan formats: printed on Vellum paper, in electronic PDF file format, and electronic AutoCAD files. AutoCAD is the name of the program that is used to create the plans. There is no “correct” or “better” plan format, it all depends on your individual needs. Each plan format has its benefits and some are more versatile than others.
Print Vellum: The most popular plan format our customers order is the Print-Vellum format. This plan format gives you a set of plans printed on Vellum paper that you can show your builder. Copies can be made as needed– see the Plan Licensing Information page for more details. The Vellum paper is erasable (using a special architect’s eraser) so added notes or minor changes can be made to the plans if needed. The Vellum plan format is the most expensive to ship.
PDF Electronic: The second most popular plan format is PDF, which is an electronic file format. We email you the plan as a set of electronic PDF files. This plan format provides the most expedient way to receive the plans. Your local blue print shop can make prints as needed. Again, see the Plan Licensing Information page for more details on making copies. The PDF plan format is an electronic file, but it is not editable so changes can be more difficult to make.
CAD Electronic: If you need to make changes or alterations to the plan, you will need to order the plan in electronic AutoCAD plan format. Anyone with the AutoCAD program and knowledge of how to use it — which most builders do –will be able to open the files and make changes to them. Your builder or local blue print shop can make prints from the AutoCAD files (see the Plan Licensing Information page for more details). There AutoCAD files come on a USB flash drive and is shipped with your plan licensing information packet.
